A Glimpse into Our Lives......Getting Ready for Baby!

Well it has been a whirlwind and now we are really counting down the weeks and days!!!!! I have been experiencing some hardcore Braxton Hicks contractions which kinda suck! For the past few weekends we have been working on getting the Baby's room in order. Jakob and Michaela painted furniture transforming the drab brown dresser with a coat of white paint. Super excited for the Sebra Kili crib it looks perfect. The cloud mobile I made and look forward to putting the NY cutout print beside it once we get the frame. I am trying to keep most of the Baby's toys eco friendly ie wooden or cloth so her assortment of rattles are perfect! I am an avid reader and instilled this trait in Michaela and plan to with our new little angel, so a mini library is a must with my favorite english books as a child and Jakob's favorite german books as a child. We also went stroller shopping and made a big decision between the Bugaboo and the Joolz stay tuned :) Lastly we went on our baby moon at the Soho house and it was perfect we were upgraded to the largest room and it was such a lovely mini vacation!

At Long Last! Baby's Nursery

Our computer has been on the fritz for the past few weeks hence my absence. But I'm back I'm 34 weeks pregnant and rearing to go! We moved apartments a few weeks ago and I can't wait to take you on a tour. For now I would love to share with you my mood board for our little angel's room. I was inspired by this blanket I found in a vintage store and when we found out we were having a girl I wanted to add a pop of fluorescent pink to the room so I made this musical mobile to go over her crib.
The Kili Crib by Sebra has been a Pinterest favorite of mine and was a must for the baby's room. I saw the Andy Warhol Sunset print in Matchbook Magazine and knew it would be perfect to evoke the beachy feel I was going for.  Most item's were sourced from Etsy, the beach print, German alphabet print, You are so Loved printcross stitch arrows, felted whale mobile, rag doll, Upcycled Narwhal and felted ball rug. You really have to check Etsy out they have everything! To continue with my beach theme I found the handcrafted Shell Chandelier and woven basket at this great fair trade website Common Goods the rug is from Crate and Barrel and of course the Eames Hang it all is also a must! To add an extra pop of pink I added the hand screen printed NYC print by Famille Summerbelle which is also where Jakob and I met and fell in love :) We are working on the nursery this weekend and I will show you the results soon!
