Upcycle Tuesday!

Finding a new blog is always a special treat and when I found out about the J Crew blog I was supper excited.  When I saw Behind the Seams a Short Story on their blog I became giddy with excitement and knew it was the perfect upcycle story.

J Crew is my go to depot for great clothes and accesories for my boyfriend ( just bought him a laptop bag for his birthday) and now I want to add these shorts to the list. Constructed from the canvas of vintage tent's these shorts are given a stamp of approval once complete. They are a limited edition so get them while they are hot!

Monday Must Have List!

$30 Single Green Female

$325 Gucci

$69 TOM'S Strappy Wedge

$38 Common Names Vintage Boutique

This week I am channeling my inner Mexican Senorita! Mexican food is my all time favorite and I absolutely love finding their vintage colorful embroidered dresses, meticulously pin tucked dresses or their off the shoulder cotton and crochet dress. That is why I am proud to introduce my latest addition to my Etsy shop, an off the shoulder blue and white crochet trim Mexican dress.

I have added a few things that I am lusting for and feel would look great with this dress aka Gucci's biodegradable liquid wood sunglasses I NEEEEDDDD them in my life, my latest obsession a tooled leather purse and the piece de resistance TOM's red strappy wedge.

If I still lived in Bushwick I would definitely rock this to the next BBQ!

Upcycle Tuesday The Wheels on the Bus......

Two great things firstly I have added some new stuff to the shop Yay! Secondly I found this adorable upcycled school bus that has found a new life as an ice cream shop!  I went on a sight seeing trip around Berlin with Michaela and we passed this bus with a cute seating area in front. I ordered a cherry slush which was quite tasty. This is definitely the type of school bus I wish I traveled on when I was a kid!

Monday Must Have List Beach Bound!

During my mini holiday in New York I spent a week in Montauk this is our third year going and we always have a great time surfing and relaxing on the beach. I have gotten to know the regulars and the Ditch Witch iced chai latte is to die for. I am planning to head to the beach while I am in Berlin and what better way to compliment the beauty  mother nature has to offer than by rocking some eco friendly gear! Here is my list of eco friendly beachy keen items. I went on a major search for the perfect eco bikini, I'm very picky like that. I love love love La Isla bikini's. The prints was the first thing that captured my attention and what makes them even more special is they are made from organic cotton and soy-based dyes.

By now everyone knows my great love for vintage that is why I chose this chic vintage crochet tunic from etsy as a cover up. I also added this amazing Surf Shack Kaftan by Loup Charmant its made from organic cotton and perfect for a sun downer on the beach, organic cocktails of course :)

Please lets talk about how ingenious Planet Flops are, made from natural rubber extracted from rubber trees in Brazil.......don't worry no harm comes to the trees and voila you have these amazing flip flops.

Turkish towels have been on my radar for quite some time and the All Organic towel I found on etsy is a perfect beach companion.

Saving the best for last, sunblock is the most important element to any beach regime and the best for you and the earth is organic all the way. That is why I chose Soleil Organique, using 100% mineral  base and other organic ingredients it is a green girls dream come true!

Frugal Fashionista Friday

Finally at home relaxing from traveling to Italy for work. It was a crew of thirteen and we were shooting for HOME magazine in Germany. The weather was gorgeous and this is what I wore; cream dress from Etsy for $24 and Isabel Marant style peasant top ( I love her stuff) that I bought at Humana for 9 euros I bargained them down from 11 euros because the string was out of the neck. I wasn't able to visit too many places because I was working all day but here are some of the pictures I could get.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Spotted!!!

My favorite green girl crush Miranda Kerr was featured in T Magazines Look of The Moment and she was rocking an uber cute vintage dress. It also reminded me of the dress in my Etsy shop and it goes to show you can never go wrong with a vintage look! Mix and match it with a high low look like Miranda or simply stand out in your one of a kind look! Atta girl Miranda ;)

I'm Baaaaacccckkkkk!

From my wonderful but hectic holiday in New York and off once again for a four day job in Milan. Thank G because the weather in Berlin simply sucks!!!! I'm using some old pictures I took before I left and when the weather was acceptable in Berlin.

My favorite summer go to look is the crop top with a high waist skirt, ever since I saw it on Dree Hemingway at Coachella I have been completely enamored. I had spotted this skirt at my local thrift store but passed it over for some other cute looks. On my next visit to my favorite thrift spot I found this cute crop top and matched it with the skirt and voila I had my summer crop top look. The skirt was 9 euros and the top was 8 euros.

Last month before I left for New York I knew I was going to my friend Ben's annual Fourth of July Shark Attack Party in Montauk so I was aiming for the boho chic look. I found this floral dress for a mere pittance 10 euros to be exact and I love it. At the Party I paired it with my vintage crochet wrap I bought for 6 euros and danced the night away with Jakob. The photo was taken from the party!
